NTCA announces 2011 plans

Join NTCA for the coming Cricket Season
• The NTCA Executive plans to bring the gentlemanliness back to the game, financial transparency and fair competitive play
• Reduce your cost to play cricket with lower membership fees and receive financial rewards depending on playoff finish.
• T20 Competition will be played at Maple Leaf Cricket Club. Games to start at 10 am
• Elite Forty Overs Competition will be played at Maple Leaf Cricket Club.
• Fifty percent of the Premier games will be played at MLCC.

• NTCA will provide one cricket ball per team for each regular season and playoffs game, and arrange for Umpires. Umpiring fees will be announced by the end of February
• All Teams will be responsible for entering their game statistics and results in a computerized system
• Forty Over Games to begin at 1:30 pm in May, June and July. There will be an earlier start time in August.
• Match Play Rules and Playoff Format will be available at the end of February
Additional Details
1) Coloured Clothing and white balls will be used for all NTCA games
2) Elite Division currently planned to be capped at eight (8) Teams in year one
3) All Elite games will be played at MLCC. Turf will be used from the end of June (approximate)
4) The Premier Division is currently planned to be capped at 24 teams for 2011
5) The Premier Division will consist of 3 conferences, with eight teams in each conference; teams will be grouped by areas (Eastern Conference, Central Conference and Western Conference).
6) Number of T20 teams will be capped at Twenty (20), and divided into two conferences. All games will be scheduled at MLCC
7) Start date for the cricket season and competitions will be May 28, 2011
8) The end of regular season (T20 – End of July – 40 Over, End of August)
9) Playoffs will be in Early September
Fees and Rewards
1) Registration Fees of $1000 per team is required with each application
2) Rewards will be offered to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in the playoffs
3) Elite Division fees will be $3500.
4) Premier Division Fees will be $3200.
5) T20 Fees will be $1800.
6) T20 competition, First, Second and Third place Playoff finishers will receive ($2000, $1500, $1000) respectively.
7) Forty over Elite Division First, Second and Third place Playoff finishers will receive playoff prize $3,500, $2500, $1000 respectively
8) Forty over Premier Division First, Second and Third place Playoff finishers will receive playoff prize $3,000, $1500, $1000 respectively
