The Toronto District Cricket Association (TDCA) announced in recent weeks that the annual awards night will take place at the Sagan Banquet Hall, Mississauga at 7pm on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The TDCA posted lists of senior and junior award winners last Wednesday (Nov 15, 2017) and asked for clubs and/or individuals to check for any errors or omissions. Advice of any such changes was requested by Friday Nov 17, 2017 at 5pm.

The TDCA indicates that anyone who is due to receive an award but is unable to attend the awards night event will not receive whatever trophy was due to come to any such “missing person”. I have only just seen the lists of award winners via the TDCA website and facebook so I do not know if there are any potential award winners who may be unable to attend the award ceremony as a result of preparing to represent Cricket Canada in either the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand or the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in Namibia early in the new year. Hopefully, exceptions will be made regarding trophies due to any such absences in the broader context of moving Canadian cricket ahead on the broader world stage.
