The playoffs for the Peel Region Senior Boys indoor cricket began on Monday and the last of the preliminary round games is on Wednesday (May 9, 2018). Rick Hansen SS (3rd in South West division, Won 3, Lost 2) visit Glenforest SS (3rd in South East, Won 3 Lost 2) on Wednesday.
On Monday (May 7) Father Michael Goetz (4th in South East, W 3, L 2) lost 41-43 in terms of runs to Stephen Lewis (2nd in South West, W 4, L 1) in the first preliminary round playoff. . Tuesday saw Louise Arbour (3rd in North, W 2, L 2) beat Lincoln M. Alexander (2nd in North Central, W 4, L 1) by 7 runs. Louise Arbour scored 55 runs, Lincoln M. Alexander replied with 48. North Park (2nd in North, W 3, L 1) pumped 81 runs and beat Brampton Centennial ((3rd in North Central, W 3, L 2) by 39 runs. Brampton Centennial scored 42 runs.
Stephen Lewis now plays South East division winner Port Credit (W 3, L 1, Tie 1) on Friday (May 11) in the quarter-finals. The other three divisional winners also enter the Senior Boys playoffs in the quarter-finals although the dates of their games have yet to be confirmed on the ROPSSAA website. Those divisional winners are: Castlebrooke (North, W 4, L 0); Central Peel (North Central, W 5, L 0) and John Fraser (South West, W 5, L 0).
Stephen Lewis (2nd in South, W 5, L 1) plays Central Peel (1st in North, W 6, L 0) on Thursday (May 10) in the first Junior Boys playoff semi-final. On Friday (May 11) North Park (2nd in North, W 4, L 2) visit Turner Fenton (1st in South, W 5, L 0).
