Ontario Greens- winners

Four teams played in the Canada Cup tournament this past weekend- Ontario Reds, Ontario Greens, Alberta Strikers and the Ja Ja Jaguars ( who included several players from the USA, with a nucleus from Atlantis CC, New York with some from British Columbia). Cricket Ontario on Fascebook stated “This marks the Resurgence of Womens Cricket in Ontario and the beginning of the rebuilding pathways.. Special thanks to the womens committee, TDCA and Tranzac for their sponsorships..as well as our own head coach Farouk Kirmani”
The final was played between the two Ontario teams with Ontario Green coming out on top, with the Jaguars and Strikers playing for third. Bess Lavia was named player of the tournament. Thanks to Eddie Norfolk for team photos.
