Central and Western T20s

Details are hard to find in regard to the Western and Central T20 competitions held this past weekend. Although these are supported by Cricket Canada and act as selection tournaments for the National T20, to be held July 8-10, the last news on the Cricket Canada website is from June 12.
However, the Central T20 was covered on CricClubs, from which it can be seen that it was won by a squad from the Brampton League.
CricClubs scorecards
Group A was topped by TDCA who played BEDCL in one semi, and Group B was topped by Manitoba, who played Ontario West in the other.
TDCA containing Rizwan Cheema, Cecil Pervez and Abraash Khan made 193/9, but BEDCL, with fewer familair names took the victory by 3 wickets in the last over. Akash Gill bowled it to Anmar Khalid with 13 required, who hit a six and two fours to win the game.
In the other semi-final 102 from 47 balls from Jatinderpal Matharu took Manitoba to 204/9. They then bowled out Ontario West for 171, Matharu again starring with 4/20.
In the final Manitoba were bowled out for 125, Shubham Sharma blowing away the middle order with 5/14. He then led the way with 87 as BEDCL won the match with 6 wickets and 6 overs to spare.
Video of the match can be watched on the Cricket Ontario Facebook pages.

There’s less information on the Western T20, played in Edmonton, and won by an Alberta Cricket Association team.
