Three Junior Finals Slated in Toronto & District Playoffs

Three Junior finals are due to be played this Labour Day Monday (2 September 2019) in the Toronto and District Cricket Association’s playoffs. The Under-18 final is due to begin at Ross Lord Park, Toronto, with an 8.30 am when Centurions U18s take on Australasia U18s. The Under-14 final between Qasra U14 and United U14 is also set for 8.30am.

Puddles on one of the two Ross Lord Park grounds meant one of Sunday’s (1 September) Under-16 semi-finals was abandoned without a ball being bowled. That semi-final has been re-scheduled for Labour Day Monday with a 4pm start at Eglinton Flats.

Ontario Cricket Academy Under-12s scored 84/8 from 20 overs at Eglinton Flats on Sunday then bowled out Cardinal U12s for 78 (17.2 overs) to win by 6 runs. Ontario CA U12s are due to play the winner of the second semi-final between Australasia U12s and Vaughan U12s that was in progress, despite the odd spot of drizzle, when I left Eglinton Flats on Sunday afternoon. The Under-12s final is scheduled for 12pm this Labour Day Monday at Eglinton Flats.
