Toronto (21 December, 2019); Two Ontario Under-17 teams are playing in the Under-17 section of the 2019 US Youth Open championship in southern Florida this weekend. On Saturday (21 December 2019) Ontario Reds U17 beat Presentation College U17 by 7 wickets but lost by 17 runs against Kumar Rampat Cricket Academy U17s. Earlier, Kumar Rampat CA U17s beat Ontario U17 Green by 5 wickets. Ontario U17 Green then lost to Presentation College by 7 wickets.

It seems Ontario U17 Red (Won 1, Lost 1) is due to play Kumar Rampat CA (Won 2, Lost 0) on Sunday while Ontario U17 Green (Won 0, Lost 2) will play Presentation College (W 1, L 1) in the next round of matches.

The Ontario squads flew south from Toronto’s Pearson Airport on Friday. At present, the Cricket Ontario/Cricket Council of Ontario website and facebook pages do not seem to have a listing of the players in each squad or any news about Saturday’s matches.

Five teams are playing in the US Under-15 Youth Open but none of those teams are from Canada.
