The continued dispute over the governance of cricket in Albertas continues, with apparently the latest development being that Cricket Canada have been instructed to appoint an independent investigator by the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada. With the Cricket Canada AGM likely to take place in the next month, it is by no means clear whether the Alberta Cricket Association should be allowed to carry votes at the meeting – and if they do, the results of any election may well be questioned.
The Alberta Cricket Council side of the dispute has been put forward on Facebook with a public letter (copied below) and a long video interview with the ACC secretary on Devesh Shankar’s Facebook page
The last post on the Alberta Cricket Association’s Facebook page dates from February, and their web site has no recent news- we’d be happy to publish a statement from them at any time.
