Cricket Festival under way at Teatree Park, PEI

Most of Canada is still subject to tight restrictions preventing the start of the cricket season but in Atlantic Canada, cricket is starting up in Newfoundland and Labrador (first league matches May 29), and PEI has had their first tournament. The PEI Cricket Festival took place last weekend – their Facebook page posts:-
“This 2 days tournament had so many moments, we never thought that this will be such a success. In these 2 days, there was competition, fun, sport spirit, bond, love, and all the beautiful moments. Our team put all the effort to make this one of the biggest tournaments in PEI, and guess what? It is the best ever tournament. The hospitality and the management were at the top. We made sure that every person leaves the ground with the best memories.
We appreciate all the 6 teams for participating and bringing amazing competition to the tournament, every team played with their heart and soul and gave us so many moments to cherish.
We hosted a total of 76 people on the ground following the Covid Protocols. We provided food for dinner and lunch, refreshments, drinks and whatnot.?
All the Covid Protocols were followed by the management and players. We thank all the volunteers who made this possible. ”
