St. John's Sea Eagles

Congratulations to the St. John’s Sea Eagles on capturing the indoor championship with a thrilling last over win over BD Power. The Sea Eagles batted first and put up a total of 56 from their 8 overs, and BD Power seemed well on their way to victory in the mid overs. Some tight bowling and good fielding left them needing 7 from the last two balls, and they fell just short. This concludes an excellent indoor season involving eight teams playing 6/side tapeball cricket.

Cricket Newfoundland and Labrador is looking forward to the upcoming AGM and planning sessions for the outdoor season. Indoor training sessions for the provincial squad will start in April with a view to preparing for the Maritimes T20 tournament this summer. Cricket NL is pleased to announce it has developed a sponsorship arrangement with Tata Steel Canada, and will be working hard to improve its ground at Torbay.
