Manitoba School Cricket Jamboree in Winnipeg

The annual Manitoba Cricket Association’s School’s cricket Jamboree is scheduled for this coming Saturday (June 8, 2013) at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg. Kanga cricket played by kids of all ages forms part of what is a fine effort by the Manitoba Cricket Association to bring together the various schools and parents for a day of fun, friendship and cricket.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to this festival and all will enjoy the game, including, hopefully, some with little or no previous experience or knowledge about the game of cricket. Best wishes to all those involved in promoting and developing the sport in Winnipeg and across Manitoba.

On Sunday, cricketing action continues with play scheduled on all three cricket grounds at Assiniboine Park in the regular season of Manitoba’s weekend cricket leagues. Details on the season’s league and recreational cricket schedules for 2013 can be found on the Manitoba Cricket Association’s website. (EN)
