Cricket Canada AGM

Cricket Canada has been providing AGM updates via their Facebook page. Some highlights..
Cricket Canada elections for Director at Large – 4 accepted nominations is the category – Mike (Hargulshan Sharma) and Ranjit Saini retain their position and are re-elected.
Treasurer – Charles Pais retains his position and is re-elected.
Vice President – Amit Joshi retains his position and is re-elected.

Praim Persaud from Cricket Council of Ontario has a ton of updates. Lots of new grounds in Brampton & Mississauga. Playing standards, umpires, coaches, infrastructure always remains the focus. There is a lot of demand from teams for registration into CCO but they have been diligent and careful in approving them.
Sam Khan from SCA requests 2016 AGM be held in Regina. Board resolution is passed and are all in favour. Cricket Canada’s next AGM will be held in Regina-Saskatchewan.
Cricket Canada Sam Khan talks about Saskatchewan Cricket Association and growing clubs in the province. They now have 28 teams and cricket continues to grow in a big scale.
Manzoor from Cricket Alberta talks about success in last year. He thanks National team Coach Mukesh Narula for doing a HP camp and spending time with their players. Umpiring Program, Kids and Infrastructure all areas of focus for the next year.
Decorcey Bishop – Director from Quebec Cricket Federation talks about QCF AGM last week and how they have two new teams that would like to register. Challenges from ground perspective in the city and possibilities of few new batting cages they are working on.
Ross – President & Director from PEI Cricket Association talks about challenges after their founder and ex-president Sarath left the organisation last year. PEI were hosts of Atlantic T20 last year and really appreciate being part of
Dunu Eliaba thanks ICC Americas for the Cricket Canada KIDS program and assures the program will continue. There is a team from Saint John that wants to be part of NB cricket.
Cricket Canada to set up a technical committee with a couple of larger provinces like Ontario & BC.
Goalline Presentation – Brett Macdonald – Business Development – Presents to the board and talks about Online Registration, Communication tools, Data Management and their Integration for scoring with CricHQ. Nova Scotia Cricket Association and Saskatchewan Cricket Association already part of their solutions.
