Canada open Americas T20 with win over Surinam

The Americas T20 championship got underway today (May 3) in Indianapolis, as Canada beat the winner of the Division 2 tournament, Surinam by 62 runs.
Canada struggled with the bat, making just 121/ 8 in their twenty overs, Cheema top-scoring with 34 (and was dropped four times).
Surinam found batting a challenge, making just 59/9 from their 20 overs. Nikhil Dutta took 4/8 after Junaid Siddiqui made the initial breakthrough taking 2/7.
