WICB Under-19 Regional Super50 – Canada’s likely schedule

Monday morning’s (July 13, 2015) ICC America’s concluding media release about the ICC Americas Under-19 Championship indicated Canada Under-19s will now play in the West Indies Cricket Board’s (WICB’s) Under-19 Regional Super50 Tournament in Jamaica. The WICB Under-19 event begins on July 22 according to a WICB Media Release distributed on July 9, 2015.

The WICB tournament “fields seven teams – the six territorial sides from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Windward Islands – along with a side from ICC Americas.’

“Each of the teams will play the other once in a round-robin competition, featuring seven rounds of 50 overs-a-side matches, with the two teams accumulating the most points qualifying for the Final to determine the tournament winner on Saturday, August 2, at the Treasure Beach Sports Park in south-western Jamaica.”

So, based on the news that Canada U19’s will represent ICC Americas in this WICB U19 Super-50, Canada’s games would likely be:

Wednesday July 22: Windward Islands v Canada (“ICC Americas” in the July 9 schedule)
Thursday July 23: No game for Canada
Saturday July 25: Canada v Jamaica
Monday, July 27 Canada v Trinidad & Tobago
Tuesday, July 28 Leeward Islands v Canada
Thursday July 30 Canada v Barbados
Friday July 31 Guyana v Canada

Sunday August 2 The Final 1st in Round Robin standings v 2nd

Thanks to WICB Media folks for the tournament information.
