Waterloo Warriors- champions

Waterloo came into the final as underdogs, but in the end beat favourites Centennial College comfortably. They made a modest 121/8 thanks to top-scorer Saad Imtiaz (32) but well supported by consistent scoring down the order. They defended the total well, and ran out winners by 16 runs, Adeel Akhter taking four wickets (also contributing 25 runs).
Scorecard
In the first semi final Waterloo batted first, and any hopes of the championship seems long gone when they collapsed to 73 all out. Dhruv Patel bowled a stunning spell, taking six wickets for five runs from only 14 balls. The University of Ontario Institute of Technology got off to a promising start but then managed a collapse of their own – 38/2 to 43 all out. Waleed Hassan took four wickets for three runs as Waterloo won by 30 runs.
Scorecard
Ryerson batted first in the second semi-final. A fine 78 from Hasaan Mirza led the way for Ryerson taking them to 137/8. Centennial’s largely spin attack made scoring difficult, Hardik Patel leading the way with three wickets. Centennial lost early wickets but 68 from Anand Erramilli took them to the final with a 6 wicket win.
The semi finals and finals were being streamed live on youtube. The coverage was excellent with multiple cameras, replays and informed commentary
