Is Kumar going to run out of partners? I don't think Nigeria will score 100.
Canada 159/7

Well below par score for Canada. But yes, it should be enough.

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

Canadian batting making tough work of the weakest opponent they are likely to face this tournament. Some big bloughs will be needed to make a decent total. And the bowling will have to have a big day.

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

Competent job by Canada to see of the challenge of Jersey. Jersey were not one of the fancied sides but were nonetheless playing well up to this match. Canada spread the load around with Gordon and Heyliger taking 3 wickets each and several batsmen contributing. Kumar showing another dimension to hi...

Re: Windies Super50

^ Thanks. Awesome news! I was hoping Canada's inclusion would be announced after the CPL and so it was. I hope Cricket Canada will use this tournament to bring in a few of the recent U19 graduates. https://www.windiescricket.com/news/colonial-medical-insurance-super50-cup-dates-and-venues-announced/

Re: development

I'll say it again, Canada need an U23 or 'A' team to give experience to young or prospective players prior to throwing them into a full international. Matches against touring sides, USA 'A' team, etcetera would be very beneficial to our national team program. After seeing Devesh Shankar's interviews...

Re: development

^ This appears to be another commercial venture. Seems more sizzle than actual steak but if some Americas players (at least 2 Canadians seem to have signed up for the draft) can earn some money, so be it. I don't know that any actual development will take place.

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

Upon reading further, by finishing 4th in their group Canada would have to win a single match to advance from this tournament. Whereas, finishing 2nd or 3rd gives them two shots at advancing. The prospect seems realistic. The issue is that Canada has very little experience in big games at this level...

Emerging cricket article on recent rise of Singapore: https://www.emergingcricket.com/featured/singapore-beating-zimbabwe-big-deal-yes-surprising-not-at-all/ Their recent successes are no accident but rather the result of hard work and lots of matches. The implication is that the board are well-supp...
