Re: Canadian overseas pros

If Singh has to quarantine for a full two weeks, he'll miss at least 4 matches for Colombo Kings, at which point he'd be unlikely to displace anyone in the established line-up. Unlucky. I hope he gets another chance somewhere else. On a related note, the ICC should clearly not try to restart cricket...

https://www.timescolonist.com/sports/calgary-born-entrepreneur-rahul-sood-buys-stake-in-sri-lankan-cricket-team-1.24242060 You have to wonder, was this entrepreneur aware of GT20 and would he have been interested in investing? There are probably others like him in Canada. The tournament has not done...

Re: BBL changes

T20 is just one big gimmick. With ICC pushing the Americans, I think we can expect many more experiments going forward to try to appeal to that market. I'm really only interested in GT20 because Canada's short term fortunes are tied to that tournament. They should be wary about changing too much yea...

Re: strategic plan progress

CC consultation on next strategic plan : https://cricketcanada.org/news-single?nid=139

Here we go again :D . With the new board going down this road the minimum expectation must be posting of consultation results and later a plan with realistic, measurable goals and timeframes.

Re: Canadian Women's cricket

ICC Americas Women's T20 scheduled for August 2021 It should be interesting to see how Brazil do with their new central contracts for the women's team. They could make quick progress given the state of women's cricket in the Americas. https://emergingcricket.com/news/brazil-argentina-included-in-icc...
