Re: Global T20 Canada
Well, yeah, everyone deserves credit for bringing the whole thing to this point. But then, give me a few million and I too could put together a cricket event. Can they turn a profit, THAT'S what nobody's been able to do. Has it eluded everyone that in a period of about two months there's gonna be mo...

Re: Global T20 Canada
Well, according to the agreement, CC will get a cool half mil no matter what.
This agreement is supposed to be for 25 years. Does that mean CC has given
away its rights to international cricket for that long???

Re: Global T20 Canada
The article says "the exposure and added development will assist us with identifying players with potential to developing into international T20 cricketers." I.e., Windies looking on the Canuck gig as pretty much just a glorified training session. Well, Scoty, can pick up a CPL franchise for $100K, ...

Re: Global T20 Canada
This whole thing seems to be sizing up to be Lauderhill North of the Border. Everyone who came to Lauderhill said the same thing: "We're here for the long haul. to build the game up." All were GONE after two seasons. I just don't see the upside to this. Patronage from the expat community alone can't...

Re: Global T20 Canada
Still a lot of doubts about this whole thing. The economics just don't add up.
They'll take in next to nothing from ticket sales and I can't see what
broadcaster or sponsor would be interested.

MLB to London...ICC to nowhere
Report confirms what's been rumored for a while: Boston Red Sox and Yankees gonna play two MLB games in London next year, right during the Cricket World Cup!! And ICC? Have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to bring first class cricket to North America...and PULEEZ don't mention those Lauderhill and Toronto f...

Re: Cricket Canada AGM
Should be coming from CC????? That would assume competency and transparency,
two things in VERY short supply in North American cricket. Looked at the
regional reports and only the Newfoundland one had any real substance. All
the rest were pretty much just team photos and wish lists.
