Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
Canada finish their 5th League 2 series by digging themselves another huge hole against the Americans and are unable to bat their way out. They had the U.S. in trouble at 103/5 but a 139 run 6th wicket stand was their undoing. The team has not shown the ability to chase down anything marginally abov...

Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
Pretty dire from Canada. Not enough runs, not enough wickets. Cricket Canada admins have contributed to this downturn and it's on them to turn things around. No coach, an aging squad and no clear replacements is a sorry state of affairs. It seems Jeremy Gordon is done with Heyliger not many years be...

Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
Kirton appears to be replacing Thakar in the squad for the 3rd ODI against Oman. I'm not sure of the wisdom of including a player facing criminal charges but Canada don't have many options. We'll see what happens both on and off the field, I guess.

Re: CC looking for help (again)
Canada is apparently pursuing experienced coach Dav Whatmore: https://torontosun.com/sports/other-sports/us-lands-former-canada-cricket-coach Whatmore won't come cheap and who is next on the list if Canada fail to land him ? The last and current League 2 series have not gone well and the team can il...

Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
Canada choosing to go with an extra bowler but failing to bowl out Oman. Canada's batting has not been strong, so preventing Oman batting out was important. As captain, Dhaliwal will have to do better in the ODIs. A decent score from him would probably have been the difference. Movva has not upped h...

Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
The U.S. lay a beatdown on Canada with the match essentially over after the American innings. Canada only taking 3 wickets was at the heart of the issue. It doesn't help Canada's cause that they don't have a full-time professional coach and their previous coach, having familiarity with Canada's stre...

Re: Cricket in the 2028 Olympics (Los Angeles)
West Indies are somewhat of an ally (if reluctant ally) to Canada and the Associates as far as Olympic participation for 2028. They are concerned that the places in the men's and women's tournaments will be based on rankings, leaving them out the outside. WI are pushing for an Olympic qualifier tour...

^ He could work elsewhere but I believe his family is in Canada so he would prefer to work here. The U.S. is the next closest.

It is being reported that the USA has rehired Pubudu Dassanayake just in time for the upcoming League 2 USA/Canada/Oman series. https://www.cricexec.com/pubudu-dassanayake-returns-as-usa-mens-head-coach/80422/ Meanwhile, 10 months after the same coach was release by Cricket Canada their new men's co...

Re: Crime and CC
Questions from the ICC for which many would like to know the answer: 1. What process did Cricket Canada follow in hiring its new CEO? 2. Was anyone in the board aware of the allegations against Khan during the recruitment process? 3. If not, when did Cricket Canada become aware? 4. What actions, if ...
