Actually, it seems from 2024 onwards will have 20 teams so West Indies would likely be safe to qualify, but it would not be a surprise to see the ICC grant the hosts byes to the World Cup. Will they dispense with the "first round" in 2024 and go with 4 groups of 5 teams? Possible. Even with 20 teams...
