Re: Canada @ 2022 ICC Mens T20 Americas Qualifier
I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere but Wickets says Canada will play in Group A of the 2023 T20 Global Qualifier in Oman, February 2022. Two teams advance. COVID permitting, of course.

Re: expanded world cup
The 50 over World Cup will also expand, returning to 14 teams for 2027. Rankings will be used to determine the 10 teams automatically qualifying. The last 4 will be determined from a qualifier. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/new-qualification-pathway-for-14-team-2027-mens-odi-world-cup-approved-...

Re: USA to Co-host 2024 T20 World Cup
Actually, it seems from 2024 onwards will have 20 teams so West Indies would likely be safe to qualify, but it would not be a surprise to see the ICC grant the hosts byes to the World Cup. Will they dispense with the "first round" in 2024 and go with 4 groups of 5 teams? Possible. Even with 20 teams...

Re: Canada @ 2022 ICC Mens T20 Americas Qualifier
^ Have to wonder how much of this team will play in the global qualifier. Will Kumar and/or Dutta return? Were there players overseas (Abraash Khan?) that were not included for Antigua because of quarantine restrictions? Don't think Hiral Patel did enough to be included going forward. He wasn't even...

Re: Canada @ 2022 ICC Mens T20 Americas Qualifier
Hey, Cricket Canada. Twice in two weeks the cricketing world finally noticed our national teams. On both occasions it is because we are a laughing stock. First the women's Divya Saxena running interference so she wasn't dismissed, then the men prematurely celebrating in giving up the tying runs. Get...

Re: Canada @ 2022 ICC Mens T20 Americas Qualifier
Canada continues to find ways to lose. As I said, they will benefit from these types of close matches (and yes losses). However, they must play top tier Associates more often so they learn how to win/develop confidence. Cricket Canada's responsibility is finding a way to make these matches (T20 and ...

Scores level! 142s up Darn, forgot about the super over! Canada needs many more of these tough matches to be ready for future i...
