Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

Pretty clear USACricket strategy is to buy themselves full member status. Must have first class grounds (Indies pay for, CHECK!). Must have first class domestic league (Indies pay for salaries, CHECK!). Must be able to beat other full members (couple of wins against Paddies, CHEC...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

New ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, in Cricinfo interview, seems to be sold on these
schemes to hold major cricket events in the states to "grow" the game. He's a Kiwi and wonder if he
knows his team aroused absolutely zero interest from Americans when they
played at Lauderhill.

new USA cricket stadium

Major League Cricket just announced they will refurbish a minor league baseball
stadium in Dallas to make it an ICC approved facility. From reports I've seen they
got a good deal with taxpayers kicking in over a million. But it means less cricket
for Lauderhill.

Re: strategic plan progress

What a total FARCE! Instead of explaining why they haven't delivered
on most of their 2018-2020 goals they....throw out a survey! Yes, please

Candada cricket: Quo vadis?

With 2020 coming to an end took a look at the CC "Development Plan, 2018-2020". Among its "metrics" was: to have $250K in sponsorship by 2020. Well..... To reduce it's ICC dependence to 65% of revenue. In 2017 it was over 75%, no stats since. In 2012 had 60 women. In 2016 60 women. And ...

Re: USACricket finances revealed

According to disclosure, USACricket did spend $171K on "youth cricket" (all expat youth I assume)..and $101K of that went to travel, meals, etc! :o Of the $14K spent on "development" $10K went to travel, meals, etc. :o Also spent $240K on "membership"...which resulted in $13K in membership income! :...

USACricket finances revealed

USACricket just posted the audit of its finances. Got over $4 million last year, over $2 million from ICC, $1.5 million from ACE. :o Spent almost all of it on men's national team. :o Only $14K on development! Only $13K in membership fees, $10K in sponsorship! Higgins says there's goi...

Re: Canadian Women's cricket

Nice to see more than just two teams in this qualifier (especially teams of natives, not just expats
as is the case with you-know-who) even if the SA teams
will probably be completely outclassed. Where's Bermuda?????

USACricket wishlist

USACricket's just put out its "Foundation Plan". Pretty much another pie-in-the-sky wishlist that past cricket administrations
have been putting out for years. Claim USA will be full member by 2030!

Re: Canadian Women's cricket

Women's cricket, in both states and Canada, will go nowhere unless they
can get mainstream women into the game. If this person can't do that (and I'm
sure she was never asked that in the selection process)
the hopeless stagnation continues. :( :(
