Re: Global T20 Canada
Some good points raised : http://www.canadacricket.com/?p=11444 As for the choice team names and associations to cities, the move certainly brings into question Mercuri's background in business of sports. The only way it makes sense is if the tournament is being marketed to a foreign audience. What ...

Re: Global T20 Canada
Where did you get the information on the salaries? Is any Canuck cricketer out there worth $90K Link to the registration page: http://www.gt20.ca/registration/ See the "Reserve Price" dropdown box. I'm not really familiar with how this works - just my best guess. Clearly the $90K would be for the S...

Re: MLB to London...ICC to nowhere
ICC don't seem too worried about these initial inroads by MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, etc. into markets like UK, Australia and China. When they (and BCCI) wake up one day and find the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Yankees, or Manchester United playing regular season games in Mumbai or Kolkata and taking mone...

Re: Cricket Canada AGM
^ It also assumes someone at Cricket Canada thinks this information should be made public AND that CC believe their members care about what goes on at the AGM. Regardless of what Canadian cricketers think of their national body, it is quite sad to think Cricket Canada actually believe the AGM matter...

Re: Global T20 Canada
According to the report from the AGM ( http://www.canadacricket.com/?p=11412 ), things are well on their way for the Global T20 Canada to play its inaugural tournament. If it is to start at the end of June, the full details will have to come out soon to allow sufficient time for publicity and sales....

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
^ Most likely a case of both: -Numbers have been exaggerated (seems to have been done in several associate countries over the years). -Many (most?) North American cricketers only care about their weekend leagues or their country of birth and not at all for a national governing body So plenty of work...

Re: Global T20 Canada
Looking at the 2018 TDCA schedule there doesn't seem to be a discernible break in July in the Super 9 schedule for players to participate in the Global T20 Canada tournament. Moreover, the three grounds mentioned (Maple Leaf, Sunnybrook and Mavis) seem to be in regular use over that period. Will the...
