Associate competitions

Some clarity from the ICC coming out of the World Cup Qualifier regarding the next competition cycle for Associates: https://www.icc-cricket.com/media-releases/638841 Although PNG are the first side to be out of the Super Six race, there is plenty at stake for them in the remaining matches as they w...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

The ICC just seem to be spending money on showy things like tours, not on the extremely difficult task of increasing the numbers of women playing the game. The US will probably have to look to some schoolgirl sides to find Aussies at their level. They could have stayed much closer to home and played...

Re: Canada Domestic Season

The ICC Americas qualifier is the tournament in August listed on the Cricket Canada site- USA/Belize/ Panama /Canada – California. Top 2 advance to ICC Americas finals the next year I think. Yes, the CC information was puzzling at first as the qualifying format is much different from years past. ht...

Re: Global T20 Canada

The Mercuri Group of India certainly seem to be all-in on this project. The investment is nothing like one of the Full Member T20 ventures but will have to be very substantial, nonetheless. If they do invest in a stadium it would mean they are in for the long haul and they are seeing some return on ...

Re: AKASH GILL - Good prospect!

He's definite prospect as an all-rounder. After Arslan Khan, Gill was the most reliable batman at the recent U19 World Cup - an area where Canada was lacking. We must hope he continues to have overseas opportunities (he's been in NZ the past two winters) and that CC/TDCA strives to provide a highest...
