USA-Canada match the only redeeming feature of this otherwise farcical
tournament. Bigger crowd than in CPL matches in Lauderhill! Agreed,
both teams need to improve to be competitive with other associates.
Hong Kong, Dutch, Scotland, UAE all getting better.

Re: Americas A Qualifier
Caymans, Bermuda, Argentina were in the other qualifier, clearly a
distorted competitive arrangement. USA/Canada should have been in
each of these qualifiers separately. Also, what happened to Bahamas, Surinam, who were
in past qualifiers?

Re: Americas A Qualifier
"Team USA" 67-0 in 5.2 overs, wins by 10w. Weeeeell...ICC has to say they're at least giving
the mini-minnows a chance.

Re: Americas A Qualifier
I say we can chalk up the seeding discrepancy to the ICC's continued obsession with getting "team USA" to WC. Clearly, either USA or Canada should have been in the first qualifier rather than Caymans/Bermuda. Under the present format USA will now get two chances to knock off their only competitor; i...

Re: Americas A Qualifier
Soooo...any report on the condition of the grounds? That area's still getting hammered by
rain. Should clear up by Wednesday but will the grounds be flooded? Roads
closed? As usual, have heard NOTHING from ICC, USACricket, CC.

Re: Americas A Qualifier
Forecasts say the hurricane could dump 40 inches of rain in North
Carolina by mid-week. Idiotic to hold a cricket event on the eastern seaboard/gulf
during hurricane season...but then we ARE talking about the ICC here.

Re: Americas A Qualifier
If the projected track of hurricane Florence holds true,
that area of North Carolina is going to be dumped with over
a foot of rain. And if it stalls over that area very real possibility
not a single ball will be bowled in the tourney.

Re: 2018 CC Summer Festival
Did CC pay CBC to stream the games? If so, any idea what they paid?
And would indeed like to know the ratings info, i.e., how many watched
and who was watching.

USA cricket indy directors
USACricket has announced their three indy directors. One is an Australian women who works for the Orlando Magic. Another an executive with the SF 49ers. Sure everyone's gonna have big expectations with these people but I myself am more skeptical. ICC continues to follow its practice of hiring "resum...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
As a promo gimmick, ICC will be sending the ICC World Cup trophy on
a world-wide tour to 21 countries. The trophy will come to USA but
(surprise, surprise!) NOT Canada!
