Re: CC looking for help (again)
So Cricket Canada have the funding to upgrade the national coaching position? I'm not sure it's worth the effort and upset to change the coach yet again unless we are sure we can do better. Either that or the new CC board and Amarinder Bhinder really can't work together. I share Victorian's concern ...

Re: Canadian overseas pros
Kumar finishes his tournament for Leeward Islands with a 29 in the 5th place match against a Barbados squad not fielding the disappointing Mr Kirton. Overall Nitish can be pleased with his Super-50. He showed he was not out of place playing with and against West Indies pros - top scorer in the round...

Re: Canadian overseas pros
Kumar scores 5 against Guyana and 24 versus T&T. Leeward Islands playing Jamaica needing a win and some help to advance to the semi-finals. There seems to be a 5th place match so Nitish may get in another innings regardless of the outcome. Have to wonder whether a good showing down the stretch earns...

Re: Canadian overseas pros
Nitish Kumar gets a contract with Leeward Islands of the Cricket West Indies Super50. He was in the squad for his side's first match and is doing well so far. Hopefully it is enough to keep him in the squad for the next match. Edit: Kumar topscores for Leward Is. (century) in his first match. I thin...

Re: CC 2021 schedule
Interesting. "CC Cricket Festival/Auty Cup", which of course implies a visit by the US.
The GT20 returns in it's late June spot. Lots of time to prepare for hosting the critical 2nd Challenge Cup series.
So a big year for cricket in Canada with a big asterisk next to much of it.

Re: Windies Super50
2021 Super50 will not be a total loss for Canadians. Nitish Kumar has been called to the training camp of Leeward Islands Hurricanes. He will tryout for a contract with the side. He is the only Canadian given a Super50 trial. Not sure whether other Americas players also got trials. https://cricketca...

Re: Windies Super50
Not unexpected news, but Canada and USA are out of the next edition of the Super 50 (Feb 4-27, 2021 in Antigua and Barbuda)

Re: Canada @ 2020 Challenge League A (2nd round)
Indeed, 2021 shaping up to be a hugely important year for Canadian cricket (assuming COVID-19 is eventually controlled). Canada has some time to prepare and needs to get their selection right. I would think with the other Challenge League teams traveling here, we have a rare chance for some Canada '...

Re: CC looking for help (again)
Would like to know how the delivery of school programs is done. Does the program have a single visit to a school per year or do they return multiple times? Is it the same for all schools (entry-level introduction to cricket) or do they vary the demonstrations with the level of cricket competency (pr...

Re: Canadian overseas pros
If Singh has to quarantine for a full two weeks, he'll miss at least 4 matches for Colombo Kings, at which point he'd be unlikely to displace anyone in the established line-up. Unlucky. I hope he gets another chance somewhere else. On a related note, the ICC should clearly not try to restart cricket...
