Re: Windies Super50
^ Nov 11: Canada vs Barbados Pride I hope Canada have a good attitude, Victorian because they'll need it. Again the top order has failed. Canada 66/5 at the mid-point of the innings. Meanwhile, Kirton of Barbados has done well in his first two innings (55, 42) of the tournament. Canada 161 all out, ...

Re: Meanwhile in Alberta
This is part of what continues to hold Canada back. Clinging to power is more important than reform. If bylaws were breached I hope the responsible provincial/federal authorities can untangle the mess.

Re: Windies Super50
Nicholas Kirton has been named to the Barbados Pride for the Super 50. So again this year, an extra Canada player will participate in the tournament. This might be his best chance to make an impression and a career in cricket while remaining eligible for Canada. He will need to make the most of it. ...

Re: ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
^ Not confirmed yet but it is a likely outcome for the 2021 T20 WC qualifiers. I hope it is only for that tournament and the ICC don't dispense with the global qualifier going forward. So a big Canada/USA showdown on the cards for next year. I can't see Bermuda getting through ahead of both of them....

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
Back to the topic at hand.
Scotland brushed aside UAE to claim a spot at the T20 WC. I see no reason to think Canada would have fared any better against the Netherlands or Scotland. The team will need to sort out the openers and are still looking for a middle order batsman and opening bowlers.

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
^ Oh my, timmyj  . My respect for you is diminished. You had been at least consistent in your criticism of teams using "Ex-pats". I can sympathize with that to a degree. Cricket is limited if it never moves beyond players from cricket-playing backgrounds. However, your apparent lauding of the...

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
^ timmyj lurking in the weeds until Canada is safely eliminated before boldly making his statement :D Welcome back. Canadian team has lots of problems. A dependence on players from traditional cricket backgrounds is just one of them. Oman and UAE are in the playoffs and it would not a surprise to se...
