Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

See USACricket is hiring THREE--count 'em, THREE--full time development people!
This in addition to the CEO they just hired! CC being left further, and further, behind. :( :(

Re: Windies Super50

This is the problem with "Teams" USA & Canada in this tourney. They're not Windies
countries, have no nationalistic motivations. It's just a glorified training session.
Anyhow, still wanna know if they have to pay to play in this thing.

Re: development

From the Cricinfo Graves interview: "Opposition can play USA in warmups..." Johnny, Jamaica played "Team USA" in a warmup at one of the Lauderhill matches some years back. It was a mismatch and the stands were empty. :( "American market is somewhere where we have to grow cricket" Sure not growing at...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

Well, finally heard from this new USA CEO on their website. Has the usual bluster about being enthusiastic over the future of the game, etc., we've heard many times before. Will wait and see what they're actually planning. Relocating their offices to San Francisco, where, it's rumored, they're suppo...

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

timmyj, you keep saying 'live with it'. I am totally at peace living with it! When Canada keeps losing, year after year, continues to go nowhere in international cricket, while DIVERSIFIED teams like Scotland, Netherlands, Namibia, PNG, etc., continue to advance, we'll see if you keep singing this ...

Re: Windies Super50

Ties in with a question I've always had: Been browsing through the CC 2017 Financial Report (none for 2018). Under "Expenses" there's one for "tournament costs, development, apparel" for $413K. What is this? Is CC paying to play in these Windies (or other) tourneys? This is not player salaries or tr...

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

"to imagine all ethnicities and races to get into cricket is a [sic] living in a fantasy world."

If that's what you believe, fine...you're also living in a fantasy world if you
think Canada cricket will ever be internationally competitive as just an ethnic sport. LIVE WITH IT!

Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier

^ timmyj lurking in the weeds until Canada is safely eliminated before boldly making his statement :D Welcome back. Timmyj's been making this point F-O-R Y-E-A-R-S. Ever since "Team Canada," which had twice been to the WC, lost its ODI status, can't even qualify for qualifiers, and is now no more t...

Canada will NEVER be internationally competitive with a team of only ex-pats.

LIVE WITH IT! :( :(

Re: Whats wrong with Canada cricket?

Smoke and mirrors. Sing'pore "beat" Zimbos because of their latest mercenary, the Aussie David.
...and the Zimbos weren't at full strength. Yeah, Sing'pore team "diverse"...no Singporers, all foreigners.
