USA elections

Well, the election results for the new BOD for USA cricket are in with less than impressive results. Despite all the effort, time, and $$$, ICC got less than 6K players to join the new national organization. Of these, less than half voted! No one elected got more than 600 votes. The mandated women's...

Re: u19 WC qualifying

Don't know how reliable that report is. Wouldn't be surprised if
a combined Americas U19 team ends up in the tourney.

Re: u19 WC qualifying

The U19 qualifier is, and always has been, very unbalanced. The Americas qualifying spot once again is between just two countries, USA and Canada. The only easier qualifying sport is East Asia where PNG has a virtual walkover. To make things more competitive ICC should put Hong Kong and Thailand in ...

Imran Kahn next Paki PM?

Reports say his PTI party won the recent Paki elections and that
he'll most likely be the next PM. Might we see Trump bowling
him a few deliveries when he visits the White House? :?: :?: :?:

Re: Global T20 Canada

Finals were certainly the best attended in the tourney but hardly a sell out. Looked at the highlight video and still saw fair amount of empty seats, at least in the bleachers. More importantly WHO were in the stands? Just expats or mainstream Canucks? As I posted earlier, will Meruri release offici...

Re: Global T20 Canada

Few takeaways from that interview (tourney's almost over and we finally get to actually hear from an organizer!): 1) Now clear this thing's directed at the North American expat market. No cricket venture in North America can be commercially viable if it ignores the mainstream populace. Like every ot...

Has (or will) Mercuri release official attendance figures?

Re: Global T20 Canada

And the sad thing is there's been fairly entertaining cricket from the highlights I've seen (such a small ground helps with that). So sad, depressing and embarrassing that the so-called "development" of this great game in North America has always been in the hands of deplorable amateurs who don't r...
