God help us he’s not going to try cricket for a photo op is he?

Well I found two guys in Australia club cricket.

Rommel Shahzad is/has played with Allansford- Panmure CC this Australian summer.

Harkaran Mann from Ont Cricket Academy was with Wangaratta and District Cricket Association Tigers A grade squad in 2022.

I’m actually most interested in the Canada Ireland game. How about Ireland touring the Americas? That would be thrilling!

Actually, an Auty Cup T20 series would not excite me. 50 overs and, dare to dream, a two day game! Obviously, leading up to a World Cup I’m talking through my hat.

What I’m hoping for is some Canada USA warm up games. An Auty Cup. That would be exciting.

According to Nick Hayes at the Big Innings podcast “every USA fan every Canada fan is thrilled” because of the USA Canada “rivalry”. Also Nick Skinner from Emerging Cricket. Canada v USA to open the tournament. Rev up that hype machine!

Maybe the Canada guys could see this coming down Main Street and were smart enough to stay far away.

Are there any Canadian guys playing overseas? I keep hearing about players from associate countries playing county or club cricket somewhere. I wonder if a guy could get into the domestic game in maybe the Netherlands or Scotland or…. I suppose playing in the APL won’t really do it for you although ...
