Re: Canada @ 2020 ICC U19 World Cup
The ICC website is now showing two warm-up matches for Canada (added to initial post). These fixtures provide a great challenge for the young Canadians and to play in these warm-ups would be almost as sought-after as the main competition itself.

Re: Canadian overseas pros
The Canadians involved in QT10 ended up playing all the matches for their respective teams. They'll be hoping it leads to further opportunities. Unfortunately, the tournament itself was not free of concerns : https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/28319225/icc-opens-anti-corruption-investigations-f...

Re: Canada @ 2020 ICC U19 World Cup
So then we're both waiting for news of the squad and warm-ups. :D I've been checking the ICC site for both the last few days. Nothing yet. Canada will be among the last to name a squad. England and Sri Lanka appear to be watching the play of their teams in a tri-series to make the final call. Unfort...

Re: Canadian overseas pros
Yes, all playing. Saad bin Zafar and Ravinderpal Singh had established a track record (albeit a short one in the case of Singh). What is surprising is that Harmandeep Singh managed to get this gig with no more than a few List A's on his resumé. It should be encouragement for younger players. If you ...

Re: Windies Super50
Nick Kirton clearly has talent but seems to suffer from serious problems with confidence. He started this tournament with 3 strong innings followed by 4 poor ones. His professional prospects in the Barbados/CWI set ups are very much up in the air. I'm not sure he is much help to Canada unless he can...

Re: Windies Super50
Thoughts on 2019 Super 50: This tournament has shown Canada has enough talent to play competitive cricket at this level. All being equal, the senior team should have been expected to win a couple of additional games. This tournament was some of the best opportunities ever offered to new players. Wit...

Nov 23: Canada vs Barbados Pride
Canada 154 all out (44 ov)
Barbados 156/3 (22.4 ov)
Very poor result for Canada. The players I thought were having a good tournament are not ending it well. The team needs to focus and finish with a good match. Almost no one helped their cause with today's effort.
