"This is what the Associates wanted--more matches."
Yeah, but against the same old bunch of teams over and over. No matches
against better quality teams--Netherlands, Ireland, 'Ghanies, Zimbos, etc.--until the Qualifier...
if they make it that far.

Re: Canada @ 2022 Challenge League A (3rd round)
No, "Team USA" and Canucks should be heavy favorites. May come down to how that pre-Qualifier is arranged; a single tournament or home/away matches for all teams. ICC just making everyone jump through more hoops. Any team from the World League that advances will have played over 40 matches just to r...

Re: Canada @ 2022 Challenge League A (3rd round)
This is how I see things playing out for 2023 WC qualification: assuming Namibia gets the third spot in the League 2, and the Canucks advance from the Challenge League, then this pre-qualifier qualifier will have "Team USA", Canada, Nepal, UAE, PNG and the second place finisher from the Challenge Le...

Re: Canada @ 2022 Challenge League A (3rd round)
There's a deep flaw in the Byzantine qualifying process the ICC has set up for the 2023 WC. The 4-7th place teams in the League 2 will now be joined by the top two teams from the Challenge league for a "Qualifier Playoff," with the top two teams from this competition then moving on to the 10 team qu...

Re: Canada @ 2022 Challenge League A (3rd round)
Seen reports the ICC is going to scrap the current qualification format (World Cup and Challenge leagues). No surprise. Must be incredibly expensive for ICC to foot the bill for so many matches played all around the world. No word yet on a replacement format but will probably go back to a single tou...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
What a surprise! Just more proof (if we need any more) that the expats have hijacked cricket in the states...and have every intention of keeping it that way.

Global goes south of the border
Major League Cricket announces today their "league" will begin in July. Only have one stadium in Dallas so they're going to fob off as a "league" the same arrangement as Global: all six teams will be playing all their matches on one grounds. Hope it turns out better than the northern version. :?: :?:

"..boards not having much to say about anything..."
And don't expect that to change, old boy! Only be
exposed, embarrassed, and shown up for their pathetic incompetency
and failures.

Re: Windies Super50
This is really good news for Kirton. Two tournaments ago , however, he only played 2 games out of six so I hope he gets some time in the middle. He didn’t do much in the TDCA this summer. All of the top WI players are there to start. At least he’ll get good practice in the nets and good coaching. G...

Re: development
Grandiose plans, that have been tossed around for at least two years, of building 20K cricket stadium in Brampton seem to be going nowhere. Cost estimates have raised the price tag from $35 million to $49 million. Recent poll says 69% of the people in Brampton don't want a cricket stadium. Reports c...
