pro T20 league coming to USA?
USACricket website announces that they are accepting proposals to start T20 pro league in USA by 2021. Proposals have to be submitted by Jan. 4. Going to be VERY interesting to see how this works out considering the failures of CPL, All-Stars, etc. Their proposal guidelines omit the most important r...

Re: WCL Div.2
This D2 format is really pretty screwy. Six teams and four advance. Going to have a lot of meaningless matches near the end and, even worse, the teams that have qualified could determine who will be the two who don't qualify by not playing "very hard" in some of their later games. But then, the ICC'...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
Well, ICC/USACricket gloating over progress "Team USA" is making. And with four of the D2 teams advancing, pretty good chance they'll be gloating even more after April. In the meantime, the game languishes and stagnates domestically. We're seeing a carbon copy of the old Dainty administration: all r...

Re: Associate 50 ov & First Class competitions 2019-2023
ICC playing a cruel joke on the Associates. Yes, its great to have an ongoing international schedule and having the teams advance with bilateral home/away matches (something I've been advocating FOR YEARS). But its 50 over cricket, next in line for extinction after test cricket. So there's going to ...

Re: Associate 50 ov & First Class competitions 2019-2023
USACricket reporting that the Americas women's regional WC qualifier will be held in the states (surprise, surprise!), and will have only two
teams, "Team USA" and Canada, who will play a three game series. No Bermuda? No Caymans? No South American teams?

Re: CWI Regional Super50
"Team USA" beats Jamaica...and beats them badly! Are they now clearly
the top dog of North American cricket?!?! Or is this just a sign
of how bad Windies cricket is?

Organization is NOT development
ICC development manager Glenwright says, in Cricinfo interview, that this new WC Pathway shows ICC is "serious about expanding the game internationally". GENUINE development is not just giving people who know and are now playing the game more cricket but bringing populations not familiar with cricke...

Re: ICC Cricket World Cup League 2
Good news and bad news with this new WC format. Good news: under the new format the 8 teams in the new World League as well as the new Division 2 arrangement will be playing home-and-home series, no more week long tourneys every six months. Have been advocating this for years, and years, and years. ...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
Report says ICC will now be holding a women's WC qualifier in all 5 regions
with each regional winner advancing.
Does that mean no more free passes for "Team USA"?

Did CC every show interest or put in a bid? Use that half mil from the CPL for a
down payment. Would have made a great
national headquarters along with your own grounds.
