(Yawn) Nothing to get excited about. Just the women's version of
the men's combines. Just going to look at the expat women now
playing. Doing NOTHING to expand the game to mainstream American
women.

Re: Canada @ 2020 ICC U19 World Cup
"given the relatively small player base" And why is that?
Canada been to U19 seven times since 2002. In those 18 years nothing's
really changed. No retreat, but no advancement. In short, going NOWHERE.

"the guy does not have an accent." Why should he?
"number of Canadian born and raised players in this team" How many are NOT from a cricket playing background?

Re: Canada @ 2020 ICC U19 World Cup
Canada cricket and Japanese cricket: two completely different development strategies. Japan has some expats but are committed to bringing the game to mainstream Japanese. They'll take their lumps doing this (maybe for a long while) but its a strategy that can only move the game forward. Canada? Comm...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
ICC continues to play heavy favorites to Americas with this 2021 T20 WC.
Two teams qualify by playing just one event. The easiest pathway of
any region, even easier than Pacific region! Assume it's just gonna
be three teams again: Canucks, Shorts, and The-Blank-Check-Team.

Re: Canadian Women's cricket
Yeah, South Americans have been doing MUCH, MUCH more than North Americans with women's cricket. And they're building up mainstream players. No, or few, expats here. That Featherstone guy, the one who's doing all this, should be ICC Americas Development director, not this do-nothing women collecting...

Re: Interviews of CC Board, Players, etc.
The main challenge (really the ONLY challenge) facing Canada cricket not discussed at all:
How do you get the mainstream Canuck populace involved with the game?

Re: Interviews of CC Board, Players, etc.
Didn't listen to his entire blab, but I'd like to know where those 130K kids who he
claims have been introduced to cricket are. Also said they've hired some high power
firm to help with sponsorship. Have to see if that's not money down the rabbit hole.
