Pleased to see Romesh Eranga still involved. It would be even more significant if he is part of the squad for the 1st round of the WC Challenge League. I'm not that disappointed Jacobs is not part of the Americas WT20 Qualifier. If he is not in the team for the World T20 Qualifier (assuming Canada qualify) or the Challenge League, then it would be safe to say he had a falling out with Cricket Canada and has retired for good.
More significant is that CC have gone with Dhaliwal to lead the team instead of returning the captaincy to Kumar.

Kaleem Sana cannot make it? Is he qualified? If he can bowl at Dre and company, he should be good enough for associates. Although, cricket has now become very competitive in the top 20 or so countries...very little to choose from between numbers 10 and 20 ranked countries.

Dont want to jinx our boys, but maybe we can already see the benefits of our boys participation in an event like GT20. Atleast at this stage they seem to be at a different level to Caymans or the Bermudas..and Bermuda did beat USA. USA is not a bad team..

^ That's the hope. It also helps that the tournament started only a week after GT20.

Big match against USA coming up on Wednesday.

Not really a big game against USA. Beat CI and Bermuda twice and they're through. Of course, weather can upset those plans. Surely, they should make up abandoned games on days off!

With two teams qualifying should be a walkover for ICC International XI...Oops! I mean
"Team USA" ;) ;) ...and Canada. But that washout now gives the Shorts a realistic chance to bump one of 'em.

timmyj51 is at it again...hope by ICC international XI, you are referring to the England cricket team with Archer, Stokes, Morgan or maybe HK, or Oman or Netherlands or UAE or USA or Singapore or Malaysia?
You are like a stuck record. Did not answer my one question that I asked 10 times...define 'mainstream' Canadian, but plays the same tune again and again..dont be a joke, come up with good analysis and show cricketing acumen.
We Canadians do not have a bais, whoever wants to live here, get citizenship or immigrates, qualifies to play for this great country..are most welcome. These are all our representatives..our team. All the players playing for their countries are all qualified and deserve to play. Sorry, you wont understand that. :D

I think England even has plans or at least puts a lot of thought into reaching out to their asian population. With huge drops in participation they'll have to.
