1st match Canada 190/5 : Bahamas 68 (15.2ov)
2nd match Canada 234/3 : Belize 89/6

Hiral Patel was not listed in the team originally posted by Cricket Canada but has apparently played the first two.
The lopsided matches mean many players won't bat and others get into bad habits facing such weak opposition. It will be quite a contrast in the next two matches against USA and Bermuda where they will have to perform.

Pretty nasty feelings in "USA" vs Bermuda match. Have to see if
things get nasty vs Canada today.

USA pinning Canada's batting down. 100/2 after 15 overs.
Canada end on 142/5. They kept their wickets well. We'll see whether they can restrict the USA will timely wickets.

Scores level! 142s up

Darn, forgot about the super over!
Canada needs many more of these tough matches to be ready for future international tournaments. :?

From the sketchy reports of the finish I've seen Canucks lost this
by AN ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS BLUNDER!!!. Last "USA" batters tried to run on
a final, missed, ball; Canuck wker took of the bails, team celebrating thinking they
won without making sure anyone was out, while US batters keep running and tie the score! :o :o :o :o

Just now saw the video of the finish. How stupid can those
Canucks get! (1) Didn't wait to see if the batter was actually out
(2) captain asleep at the wheel  (3) if "USA" batters were paying attention they could have
made the third and winning run right then and there.

If this had happened in a major sport (NHL/NBA/NFL/MLB), the coach would be FIRED right
here and now!

Canada continues to find ways to lose. As I said, they will benefit from these types of close matches (and yes losses). However, they must play top tier Associates more often so they learn how to win/develop confidence. Cricket Canada's responsibility is finding a way to make these matches (T20 and List A) happen.

Was Tariq behind the stumps against the Americans? He is an experienced player. Would be a shocker if it was his mistake that cost the victory.

Canada 189/5
Bermuda 139/7
Fortunately, Canada have done the job against Bermuda. They'll play the global qualifier next year. However, if they don't play more matches they will fail as they have every time before.

Harsh Thakar is certainly doing the job with ball and bat. We need a few more younger players of his calibre introduced to the team.

Hey, Cricket Canada. Twice in two weeks the cricketing world finally noticed our national teams. On both occasions it is because we are a laughing stock. First the women's Divya Saxena running interference so she wasn't dismissed, then the men prematurely celebrating in giving up the tying runs. Get these teams the games they need to learn.

Arg. 109/10. In 18 overs. Heyliger with five wickets! More runs than i would have liked but they should chase it in 10 overs. Maybe 14.

115/1. Paythan with 56*. Dhaliwal out for 49. Canada win by 9 wickets.
