Canadians at the US Open Cup

Post by Victorian » Wed Nov 10, 2021 1:03 am

There are several Canadian players that I believe are registered for a draft for the US Open Cup. I don't know when the draft is.
Nitish Kumar ( who plays for the 'Clarion County Eagles')?
Nikhil Dutta
Hamza Tariq
Junaid Siddiqui
Arslan Khan
Harsh Thaker
Srimantha Wijeyeratne
also a few others that play club cricket in Canada
Also, several Ireland internationals (Paul Sterling!)
Also, one (or two - it might be the same person) guys named Imran Khan - no not THAT Imran Khan

It is good that players in our national pool are playing in the "off-season" and that guys like Kumar and Dutta are trying to make a living from cricket.

Apparently the draft is on Nov. 15. There are 10 teams and some players have been retained so there are a few spots remaining and 700 players have registered.

Nitish Kumar Clarion County Eagles

Also, Corey Anderson who is slated to play for USA in the next couple of years.
Quite a few WI players and Scottish and Irish.

Nitish Kumar and Harsh Thaker were in the runs and Thaker took some wickets too. No one else really did distinguished themselves.
