I’ve watched some highlights from the Africa qualifier. Some very excellent catches. It’s not park cricket! Canada is going to have to be very sharp.

Have seen reports that ICC going to kick off the 2024 World Cup with the match between USA and Canada. If so, we know four of the five countries in that group: USA, Canada, India and Pakistan.

If all this is apparently decided, why the delay in officially announcing the groups/schedule ?

Canada's games:
June 1 vs USA in Dallas (Opening match of the tournament)
June 7 vs Ireland in New York
June 11 vs Pakistan in New York
June 15 vs India in Florida

Lots of viewers will see Canada. It would be a good time for someone to perform and put themselves in line for a T20 franchise contract.

According to Nick Hayes at the Big Innings podcast “every USA fan every Canada fan is thrilled” because of the USA Canada “rivalry”. Also Nick Skinner from Emerging Cricket. Canada v USA to open the tournament. Rev up that hype machine!

What I’m hoping for is some Canada USA warm up games. An Auty Cup. That would be exciting.

Actually, an Auty Cup T20 series would not excite me. 50 overs and, dare to dream, a two day game! Obviously, leading up to a World Cup I’m talking through my hat.

I’m actually most interested in the Canada Ireland game. How about Ireland touring the Americas? That would be thrilling!

Have to think the Paddies aren't happy to have to play all their
group stage matches in states with no chance to play in some
decent stadia, in front of decent crowds, in the Islands.

the cricket teams playing in New York to attend the games!
Will Trudeau show up for the Canada-India game?
