A good win for Canada. Probably still acclimatizing. I don’t mind a few wickets falling. It gave seven batters time in the middle. A good score from Johnson and four wickets for Heyliger.
I wonder if Heyliger and Wijeyeratne could get in a bit better shape. They look a little big to me.

^ Exactly. In the past Canada wasn't able (and probably didn't try hard enough) to give opportunities to young/new talent. It's pleasing to see new players getting what should be multiple chances to contribute.

Nice that the match was available online. Hope the Nepal tour will also be streamed.

I’m glad to see Canada get a good score. In Challenge League they rarely put up much of a total against weak opposition.

With the game reduced to 34 overs, Canada seem to be trying to go hard and fast. No test batting today. But in all three games, they’ve lost a very early wicket. Today, Johnson did not get dropped like the first game. As I was logging in for this, Kirton, coming in at #4 in the third over, got lucky. Johnson was 18 off 9 and Kirton is 13 off seven.

I would say Movva is my new favourite Canada player. No one runs the first one as hard as he does

Those were some high-scoring games in HK. It ended on a down note but Canada can't be too displeased with the start to their international season given the circumstances

However, things are about to get much tougher as the team heads to Nepal for 3 ODIs according to Nepal cricket sites. The itinerary is unclear before they apparently travel to UAE for League 2 tri-series with the hosts and Scotland. Do Canada return home in the meantime ?
