USA elections

Well, the election results for the new BOD for USA cricket are in with less than
impressive results. Despite all the effort, time, and $$$, ICC got less than 6K players
to join the new national organization. Of these, less than half voted! No
one elected got more than 600 votes. The mandated women's director got
all of 16 votes! Has to be a runoff between two who got 12 votes! All seems
to prove still widespread apathy and disinterest in governance for USA cricket.
Not a single of the new directors was born in the USA. If none of the three independent
directors to be hand picked by the ICC are Americans a total farce to call
this a "diverse" and "all exclusive" national organization!

Interested to see how the new USA board will perform when they take office. Will they prioritize national teams, club cricket, growing the sport? I expect they will be a leader in communication but we'll see if this is so.

Wonder how much longer they will enjoy the benefits of their status as a priority nation for the ICC.
