ICC development manager Glenwright says, in Cricinfo interview,
that this new WC Pathway shows ICC is "serious about expanding the
game internationally". GENUINE development is not just
giving people who know and are now playing the game more cricket but bringing
populations not familiar with cricket into the game. Giving the AAs more games,
more international tournaments is fine and dandy for the expats but you can be sure these
are NOT going to attract any significant mainstream populations to the game.
