"There were grave concerns for the broadcast preparations which were behind schedule as, similar to the GT20, budgets were slashed after agreements had been made, resulting in deep frustration felt by contractors and media houses alike."

^That is very scary. The problems at the GT20 were attributed to owners misunderstanding the timing of their obligations. It could be much more.

CricInfo article: https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id ... eks-notice
Bombay Sports Limited's launch of the Euro Slam T20 at three venues has clearly been an overreach. It could lead to the collapse of both their T20 properties. The GT20 is built on trust between the organizers, owners, players, sponsors, media. If it is lost it spells the end.

Canada's hopes for a stadium, player contracts and training, ODI status, growth of cricket and generally the immediate future of the sport rest with the Global T20 Canada. Cricket Canada don't have anything else. Have to hope the organizers can consolidate and build on Canada's tournament. However, their decision making is now being called into question.

Right now, at least, CC has the T20 WC Americas and then, presumably, the global qualifier. Also, the Challenge League. After this fall, though, perhaps not much. I wonder if there are unpaid bills yet from the GT20. Probably.

We can just hope that things will be sorted out, somehow and if not Euro, atleast GT20 will survive. Honestly it is the best thing that has happened for Canada cricket and cricketers, ever. So lets keep our fingers crossed!
