Canada might do well to bat first if they win the toss in then match against Cayman Islands.
Some were predicting 500 in the WC
Canada @ 2019 ICC Americas U19 Qualifier
Re: Canada @ 2019 ICC Americas U19 Qualifier
Canada 441/5
Cayman Is 50 all out (25.5 ov)
A few of Canada's bats managed to get some time in the middle, albeit against a weak bowling side. It will have to do.

I'm enjoying this. The CI boys are trying to defend their wickets so the Canadian guys are having the opportunity to bowl spells. Far too many extras! I read a comment that the CI team is average 15 years old. Why send them to this tournsment? Why not send a group of 17 year olds. However, Ayush Verma is u19??

USA 112 all out (32.4 ov)
Canada 113/5 (22.1 ov)
Congratulations to Canada's U19s on their qualification for the 2020 U19 World Cup in South Africa. We'll see whether their win also comes with an invitation to the CWI U19 tournament as in the past.
The tournament was full of mismatches. There is a rather large gap in talent between Canada/USA and Bermuda, then Bermuda and the rest. The battle for top spot might have just as well been settled with a best-of-three between Canada and USA with a separate competition for Bermuda, Argentina and Cayman Islands. However, Argentina's performances against Cayman Islands and Bermuda (more with the ball than the bat) may encourage ICC Americas to stick with a 5 team qualifier. Certainly, if the ICC wants to develop cricket in this hemisphere, more competitions have to be scheduled for the likes of Bermuda, Argentina and Cayman Isles.

Unfortunately, no invitation seems to have been sent for our U19s to participate in the Cricket West Indies regional U19 tournament.
Perhaps this is not part of the the MOU "to strengthen partnerships between both cricket organizations", when President Saini visited CWI President Ricky Skerritt in Antigua this year. Hope that the team will have a tour to prepare for 2020 U19 WC in South Africa.
