The Klondike Cricket Club will be having its first cricket clinic this coming Sunday, May 06. We are going to have a few more clinics before we go on the pitch. We have over 60 enthusiasts of all demographics. We are inviting Cricket Canada and Cricket BC to visit us in the Historical City of Dawson City Yukon. It will also be very nice for you to play Dawson City in a friendly and do some clinics. CBC has already interviewed Mr Wayne Potorka our Mayor, so there is definitely a cricket buzz North of 60.

Brousing through the CC Strategic Plan 2018-2020. Claims over 111K kids play
cricket in Canada. Wonder where they got that number! In 2012 says 60 women
played competitive cricket in Canada. By 2016...still only 60! Still depending on
ICC for over 70% of their funding.

True. Some concerns there.
[*]Women's numbers not moving.
[*]For some reason no numbers for juniors prior to 2016. And at only 960 for the country, that number really needs to increase.
[*]The "Junior Involvement" is a metric of the number of different schools CC and the provinces have visited. It has no correlation to the juniors involved with clubs which means the game cannot grow substantially.
[*]It will be interesting to see the revenue $ and ICC contribution % for 2018 with the advent of the Global T20 Canada.

I see there is an ICC u19 WC qualifying tournament Asia Div. 2 with the likes of Maldives, China, Bhutan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and others. There is a dirth of Americas Div. 2 tournaments. It would be good if there was some structure and opportunity to move upward for all of the Americas countries.

Well, I guess the ICC have used up all the checks to their North American bank
account having spent everything on "team USA" and the disastrous NIRSA
initiative. If anything's left it's probably earmarked to subsidize
this expected American T20 league. Grass roots cricket? Out in the cold.
