First Citizens Clarke Road United returned to Trinidad following a successful tour of Canada, where they won all of the matches they played. Clarke Road, who are one of the top teams in the Eastern Credit Union Premier League two-day competition, visited Toronto and Montreal, where they played two T-20 matches, a 30-over game, two 40-over matches and a masters game during the 12-day tour. Some of the highlights of the tour were victories against elite teams Vikings Cricket Club, Overseas Cricket Club and a select Quebec Cricket Federation XI. Matches were played on different pitches, including turf at King City, matting at Eglinton Flats, Toronto, and Astro-turf in Montreal City, with the T&T club adapting to the conditions very effectively. Clarke Road also linked with former players who now reside in Canada to play a masters game (over-40) against Overseas Cricket Club. Among the Clarke Road veterans residing in Canada are former captains Krish Seepersad and Ramesh Roopnarine, along with Fazil Sattaur who represented Guyana and Canada.
