The Senior Boys tournament opens the season today with three games. Tuesday (March 4) sees first two games of the season in the Varsity Girls competition and four games are scheduled in the Junior Boys event.<br \/>\nThe tournament is a competition operating under the banner of the Region of Peel Secondary Schools Athletic Association (ROPSSAA). ROPSSAA competitions include schools that operate under the banner of the Peel District School Board, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board and some independent schools within the Peel Region.<br \/>\nCompeting Schools &#8211; Varsity Girls<br \/>\nThe Varsity Girls tournament has eight competing teams, two more than last year. The teams are divided into two groups, \u201cNorth\u201d and \u201cSouth\u201d, each with four schools. Three schools that did not field a girls team last year are participating this year: Castlebrook Secondary School (SS), Louise Arbour SS and North Park SS.<br \/>\nOne of last year\u2019s participants, T.L. Kennedy SS, who were beaten in all five group games, is not in the field this year but will, hopefully, return in a future year.<br \/>\nNorth: Castlebrook Secondary School (SS), Sandalwood Heights SS, Humberview SS and Louise Arbour SS.<br \/>\nSouth: North Park SS, Father Michael Goetz Catholic SS, Heartlake SS and Mentor College.<br \/>\nCompeting Schools &#8211; Junior Boys<br \/>\nThe Junior Boys tournament has nine competing teams, two more than last year. There is a North Division with four schools and a South division with five schools. Port Credit SS and Jean Augustine SS participated last year but are not in this year\u2019s Junior Boys competition. Four schools in this year\u2019s South Division did not play last year, namely Applewood Heights SS, Stephen Lewis SS, T.L. Kennedy SS and Glenforest S.S.<br \/>\nNorth: Castlebrook SS, Central Peel SS, North Park SS and Sandalwood Heights SS.<br \/>\nSouth: Applewood Heights SS, Stephen Lewis SS, T.L. Kennedy SS, Turner Fenton SS and Glenforest S.S.<br \/>\nCompeting Schools &#8211; Senior Boys<br \/>\nThere are 23 schools, divided into four regional divisions in this year\u2019s Senior Boys competition. The Senior Boys four regional divisions are North, North Central, South East and South West.<br \/>\nThe North Division has 5 participating schools and the other three regions each have 6 participating schools.<br \/>\nNorth: Louise Arbour SS, Castlebrook SS, Heart Lake SS, North Park SS and Sandalwood Heights SS.<br \/>\nNorth-Central: Brampton Centennial SS, Turner Fenton SS, St Francis Xavier CSS, St. Joseph CSS, Central Peel SS and Lincoln M.
