Three schools won to advance to 2/0 records in the Junior Boys section.

The senior boys section saw the most action last week. One of nine games was defaulted but Mentor College bounced back to life next day, after the default loss, to tie with Port Credit. Port Credit’s season began the previous day with a win against Father Michael Goetz. Possibly Port Credit’s win with 5 balls to spare in an innings of 8 overs is a comfortable margin, rather than close, but both teams broke the 50-run mark. Central Peel moved to 2/0 in the North Central Division with 48/0 from 6.3 overs to pass Lincoln M. Alexander’s 46/4 from 8 overs.
Peel Indoor School Cricket – Varsity Girls
Sandalwood Heights won comprehensively in last week’s only game in the ROPSSAA Varsity Girls competition. Sandalwood Heights hit 56/3 from 6 overs then bowled out Humberview for just 6 runs from 1.4 overs. The win took Sandalwood to 2 wins from 2 games and top spot in the North division. Humberview now has 1 win and 1 loss from 2 games.
Play resumes on April 11 when Heartlake’s season begins with a game against North Park (1/0) in ths South Division. Mentor College’s season is due to begin against North Park on April 12.
Note: The fall of six wickets is all out in this version of indoor cricket. Peel Indoor School Cricket – Junior Boys
Three schools now have 2 wins from 2 games in the Junior Boys competition. Central Peel (North Division) restricted Sandalwood to 22/3 from 6 overs then powered to a winning 28 for no wicket after 1.5 overs. Turner Fenton (South Division) held Applewood to 21/4 from 6 overs then hit 24/1 to win from 2.2 overs. Stephen Lewis (South Division) clipped 59/2 from 6 overs and beat Glenforest 35 all out (4.4 overs) by 24 runs.
North Park 37/4 (6 overs) beat Castlebrook 22 (5.4 overs) by 15 runs in the North Division. Play resumes in the Junior Boys competition on April 12.
Peel Indoor School Cricket – Senior Boys
Central Peel moved to the top of the North Central region standings with a win against Lincoln M. Alexander. Central Peel’s opening bats posted a winning 48/0 from 6.3 overs in reply to Lincoln M. Alexander’s 46/4 (8 overs). Central Peel now has 2 wins from 2 games. Brampton Centennial made 42 but lost to St Joseph’s 43. These two results left three teams with a record of 1 win and 1 loss in the North Central standings: Lincoln M. Alexander, Brampton Centennial and
St Joseph’s.
Father Michael Goetz struck 51/4 from 8 overs but this was insufficient against Port Credit who replied with 52/2 from 7.1 overs in a South-East Region game. Mentor College conceded a home game by default to Gordon Graydon but emerged next day to tie with Port Credit. Port Credit scored 58 all out from 8 overs, while Mentor College clipped 58/2 from 8 overs. Port Credit lead the South East standings thanks to 1 win and 1 tie. TL Kennedy and Glenforest each has 1 win from 1 game. Gordon Graydon has 1 win a 1 loss.
John Fraser moved to 2/0 with a win against Meadowvale and Stephen Lewis also went 2/0 with a win over Rick Hansen and Clarkson registered a win in last week’s South West Region games. Clarkson’s 76/3 from 8 overs was the top score in last week’s Senior Boys matches, the next best being the 69 run-a-side tie between Turner Fenton and St Francis Xavier and John Fraser’s 69/2 (8 overs) when beating Meadowvale’s 39/5 (8 overs). But Erindale did quite well with 68/4 (8 overs) in reply to Clarkson’s 76. Quite well, not enough on the day but scoring runs in a key ingredient in cricket.
There was no game in the North Region last week where Castlebook remain 2/0 with Lincoln M. Alexander 1/0 also unbeaten.
The next games in the Senior Boys competition are on April 11.

No games are scheduled this week in the three Peel Region (ROPSSAA) school indoor cricket competitions, play resumes next week from April 11, 2018.
