This season\u2019s opening games are Middlefield Collegiate Institute versus Bill Crothers Secondary School (SS) and Bill Hogarth SS against Bur Oak SS. Reigning champions, Maple High School, are due to take the field on Wednesday (September 26) against Stephen Lewis SS at Maple Leaf Cricket Club, King City. These six schools comprise the field for this school year\u2019s championship.<br \/>\nThe YRAA Varsity Boys Tier 1 championship begins with a round-robin phase where each school plays once against each of the other participating schools. Matches are played to a maximum of 15 overs per innings.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s round-robin phase is due to be completed on Monday, October 15, 2018 when two games are scheduled for McCowan Reservoir. The round-robin phase is usually followed by playoffs to determine the champion school. The YRAA Cricket Playing Regulations allow for the re-scheduling or cancellation of matches in the event of inclement weather.
