Ravinderpal Singh went on to carve 79* from 38 balls, striking consecutive sixes three times in his knock. His last pair of sixes was followed by a boundary in the 17th over that included 3 singles and ended with Canada needing 6 runs to win from 3 overs. Victory came with a single by Ravinderpal Singh to end the 18th over.<br \/>\nOpening bat Surendran Chandramohan made 51 runs (38 balls) before being caught and bowled by Junaid Siddiqui to leave Singapore 85\/3 after 12.5 overs. Aritra Dutta scored 34 runs (28 balls) before being caught by Ravinderpal Singh off captain Navneet Dhaliwal\u2019s bowling; Singapore 107\/4 (14.5 overs). Amanpreet Singh was caught by wicketkeeper Maza Tariq off Romesh Eranga for 36 (19 balls) to leave Singapore 146\/5 after 18 overs. Aryaman Uchil ended with 21* as the innings closed on 164\/5.<br \/>\nJeremy Gordon bowled opening bat Rohan Ranjarahan for 2 (Singapore 9\/1; 1.2 overs) and ended with 1\/30 from 4 overs. Saad bin Zafar bowled the potentially dangerous Tim David for 11 (Singapore 25\/2; 4.4 overs) and ended with figures of 1\/28 from 4 overs. Dilon Heyliger also bowled economically by T20 standards, conceding 28 runs from 4 overs.<br \/>\nRodrigo Thomas began brightly with 4 boundaries but fell for 18 runs (13 balls) to leave Canada 25\/1 after 3.1 overs. Captain Navneet Dhaliwal was out for 9 (Canada 42\/2; 5.5 overs) but was soon followed by Nicholas Kirton at 50\/3 (6.4 overs) after scoring just 6 runs.<br \/>\nNitish Kumar and Ravindepal Singh then steadied the innings and began to turn the tide in Canada\u2019s favour. Nitish Kumar struck 3 boundaries and 1 six in his 44. Ravinderpal Singh\u2019s 79* included 4 boundaries and 7 sixes.<br \/>\nCanada plays Kenya in a second warm-up game on Tuesday. Kenya lost to Jersey by 7 wickets in a warm-up game on Monday. Kenya scored 126\/7 from 20 overs, Collins Obuya top-scoring with 49. Charles (Chuggy) Perchard took 4\/13 from 4 overs. Jersey, who are Canada\u2019s first opponents when the competition proper begins, then struck a winning 131\/3 from 13.2 overs. Jonty Jenner lead the Jersey scoring with 47*.<br \/>\nJersey took part in a three game T20I series against Qatar on October 9-11, 2019. One source indicates Qatar won all three games but I have not found a completed score for the second game. On October 9, Qatar 179\/4 (20 ov) beat Jersey 19\/6 (20 ov) by 20 runs and on October 11 in the third game, Jersey scored 101\/9 (20 ov) then Qatar struck in winning 102\/2 after 13.1 overs. Jersey scored 141\/7 from 20 overs in the second game. Qatar had reached 129\/4 after 18 overs according to Jersey Cricket tweets. Qatar seemingly went on to win according to a source that lists the series as 3-0 in favour of Qatar.<br \/>\nRecent T20 Series on the Way to the Global Qualifier<br \/>\nMonday\u2019s win should add confidence to the Canadian camp, following September\u2019s Duckworth\/Lewis system loss to Singapore in the 50-over world of the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. Since that game, Canada returned home before flying out to Dubai last week but Singapore hosted a T20 Tri-Series as part of preparations for this Global T20 Qualifier. Singapore won one of two games against Zimbabwe in that Tri-Series. Zimbabwe\u2019s current ban from ICC events ruled them out of this ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup Qualifier but does not prevent Zimbabwe to play international games against other countries.<br \/>\nIreland (Won 2, Lost 1, No Result 1) topped a T20 Tri-Series in September that included Scotland (W 2, L 2) and The Netherlands (W 1, L 3, NR 1).<br \/>\nOman recently hosted and won the Oman Pentangular as part of preparations for this Global T20 World Cup Qualifier. The tournament comprised a T20 round robin. Oman won all 4 games. Ireland won 3 and lost 1. Nepal won 2 and lost 2. The Netherlands won 1 and lost 3. Hong Kong lost all 4 matches.<br \/>\nResults from Other T20 Warm-up Games on Monday<br \/>\nBermuda, the second ICC Americas Regional Qualifier, hit 171\/5 (20 overs) then bowled out Nigeria for 118 (19.5 overs) to win by 53 runs. Okera Bascombe scored 49 and Deunte Darrell 47* for Bermuda. Nigerian captain Ademola Onikoyi top-scored with 32. Bermuda\u2019s Delray Rawlins did not bat or bowl in this game.<br \/>\nGary Wilson hit 44 of Ireland\u2019s 156\/8 (20 overs) in a 30 run win against the Netherlands, bowled out for 126 to end the 20 overs. Craig Young took 3\/21 and while Mark Adair picked up his three wickets in the 20th over to end with 3\/28. Ryan ten Doecshate, who lead Essex to the county championship this season, top-scored with 46 for the Netherlands.<br \/>\nThe United Arab Emirates made 157\/5 from 20 overs in what proved a 37 run win against Scotland, who ended on 120\/9 (20 overs).
