Cricket Canada yesterday issued a press release promoting the Etihad Summer Festival featuring a three-way international 20-20 tournament, with guests Afghanistan and Trinidad and Tobago.

\n“Trinidad and Tobago’s Champions League Twenty20 preparation hit a snag yesterday when it was announced that the national team would not participate in a tri-nations tournament in Canada next month, one of two warm-up events T&T were scheduled to play ahead of their trip to India in September. Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) chairman of selectors Dudnath Ramkessoon, who is also overseeing T&T’s preparations, confirmed yesterday that lack of funds forced the Board to opt out of the tournament, which would have involved hosts Canada and 2010 World T20 participants Afghanistan.”<\/p>\n
