TL Kennedy beat Heartlake 52-50 in simple scores.
The top two from the North Division, North Park and Sandalwood, reached the final of the Junior Boys event. North Park (42 runs for 6 wkts, 6 ov) beat Stephen Lewis (27 for 6 wkts, 5.2 ov) by 15 runs. Losing six wickets means “all out” in this indoor cricket. Sandalwood (24) beat Rick Hansen (22).
So on Monday let’s hope all four scores are e-mailed back to the scoring system and I remember to look them up before Monday’s detail scores (which, for cricket, include wickets lost and overs faced) switch to the overall Tuesday schedule (which covers all Regional of Peel Senior school sports). The scores then show in the Playoff schedule, but only as total runs scored . So timing counts, not just on the field, but off the field. But for both on- and off-field timing, you need awareness of timing, some of which comes from experience, knowledge and application. Not to mention the actual time to be either playing or researching in order to be able to report on the playing. Or even having the time to arrange to go to an actual game, which for these indoor games involves obtaining permission to attend in person.
Eddie Norfolk

Monday (May 14) will see the Senior Boys semi-finals in the Peel Region Senior Schools cricket championships.
