\nOn Friday (May 31) St George\u2019s School (Vancouver) made 58, which Michael\u2019s University School (SMUS) overhauled for the loss of just one wicket. Trenton Schulz-Franco scored 40 for SMUS in a second win on the Saturday against Princess Margaret\u2019s School, who totalled 100 in twenty overs.
\nTrenton Schulz-Franco hit 106 not out, which helped SMUS to an imposing 227 runs from 20 overs on Saturday (June 1) against L.A. Matheson Secondary School. Mark Yorath took three wickets for just eight runs as SMUS bowled out L.A. Matheson for 105, to win by 125 runs. On Sunday afternoon, SMUS tallied 158 runs from 20 overs against the team listed as Surrey Schools A in the schedule. The BC mainland-based side managed to make 68 in reply, to lose by 90 runs.
\nSMUS completed a fifth win on Sunday (June 2) in a game listed against Surrey Schools B to head the standings and capture this competition\u2019s Jack Kyle Trophy.

\nThe SMUS school name dates from a joining of St Michael\u2019s School and University School in the past to create the name St Michael\u2019s University School. SMUS cricket coaches are led by Mr. Tony Cordle. He played for Glamorgan (the Welsh county) in the “English” county championship for many years, and who has also served in the past as a coach for the Canadian women\u2019s national team. The “W” in the England and Wales Cricket Board tends to be left out in the abbreviation ECB, although there would be no “W” where ECB stands for the Emirates Cricket Board.
